Dame Edna told to rest after surgery
Australian comedian Barry Humphries, famous for his character Wench Edna Everage, has been ordered by doctors to rest for six months.
The 73-year-old star has reportedly been forced to offset a number of shows and appearances due to complications pursuit appendix surgery.
A spokesman for the Glasgow International Comedy Festival said: "He's loss in for surgery this calendar week as there deliver been complications."
The spokesman continued: "He has been told by his doctors to fill a six-month rest."
